Meet Nick
The end of another terms After School Knitting Club and with all the fab knitting I have been busing away in the evenings sewing Nick together and stuffing him with plastic bags!
He was so big he filled the boot of the car...
He now sits and watches everyone arrive and leave school, high up in his tree.

I have recently taken part in a fantastically creative and inspiring craft/art project called The Blood Bag Project
The Blood Bag Project is a craft project that aims to raise awareness of the rare blood condition Diamond Blackfan Anaemia.
It was set up by Chloe's auntie Leigh, who wants to encourage people to donate blood. Chloe's main source of help is through blood donation. However, Leigh is unable to give blood herself and understands she's not alone. This project is for those who want to help the blood cause by donating in another way.
You can see all the bags and find out more at The Blood Bag Project Website
And you can see my bag here...

I was supposed to be doing some college work this weekend for my printing course but both of my children were so facinated with what I was doing that they wanted to have a go...

My son was so made up with how his turned out...

Needless to say I got none of my work done but we had so much fun and they got such a sense of achievement from it.

Whilst doing my 'printing1' course with OCA I cannot help but continue to work with textiles so I have been working on several personal projects and ideas.
The current project is based again on health issues namely alcoholism and liver cirrhosis. I have been working on a sample based on an image of liver cirrhosis....

Felted and dyed machine knitted sample with glass nuggets.

Just before Christmas I bought myself a second hand refurbished Knitmaster knitting machine. Excitedly I have been testing, swatching and experimenting ever since.
Recently I decided to attempt my first garment...
Knitted in cotton and then dyed grey.
I am really pleased with it but I still have a lot to learn.
