I had a fantastic time at Art in Action last week. I was there with Craftclub to help teach knitting and crochet during the event on the Thursday. I met so many interesting people and enthusiastic knitters.
During the morning I taught several people to crochet and since it was craft club that taught me to crochet just under a year ago it seemed perfect to be able to do the same for someone else.
I managed to have a few hours at the end of the day to look around the event and as last year Roanna Wells really stood out for me. Her work really has me mesmerized every time I see it and this year she had some beautiful work.
Beautiful delicate seed like stitches that reminded me of kiwi seeds sewn in black over fabric that had been machine embroidered and then carefully unpicked to reveal such a faint impression of what was there before.
